GenStudio Refund Policy

⚠ This document is a draft template and has not been reviewed by legal counsel. Before it takes effect, it must be reviewed and approved by legal counsel engaged by [主体名称]; the publication date and effective date will be filled in when the text is finalized. "[主体名称]" is a placeholder for the operating entity's registered name.

1. General

1.1 This Refund Policy explains the refund rules that apply when [主体名称] ("we", "us" or "our") provides paid services through GenStudio (gen.yaspost.com, the "Platform"). This Policy, together with the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy (linked in the page footer), constitutes the entire agreement; on matters concerning refunds, this Policy prevails.

1.2 The Platform's subscription services are virtual consumable goods: the subscription is activated immediately upon successful payment, the credits for the current period are granted at that time, and the service content can be used immediately from activation.

1.3 Please check the tier, price and account information carefully before paying. The price, the number of credits per period and the benefits included in each tier are as actually published on the pricing page; the rules on subscription activation, credit grants and renewal are set out in Article 4 of the Terms of Service.

1.4 This Policy applies to payments you complete through the official payment channel designated by the Platform (currently Alipay cross-border acquiring, priced in US dollars). Risks and disputes arising from paying through a channel that is not designated fall outside the scope of this Policy.

2. Subscription Fees Are Non-Refundable

2.1 Given the nature of subscription services as virtual consumable goods and their delivery form — activation upon payment, with credits granted immediately — subscription fees are non-refundable once paid, including but not limited to the following situations:

  • you did not use, or did not fully use, the credits granted within the period;
  • you cancelled the subscription or stopped using the Services within the period;
  • losses caused by reasons attributable to you (selecting the wrong tier, using someone else's account by mistake, problems with your payment account and the like);
  • your features were restricted, your service suspended or your account banned because you breached the Terms of Service (see Article 7 of the Terms of Service, under which fees already paid are likewise not refunded).

2.2 After a subscription is cancelled, credits already granted for the current period remain usable under their original validity period until they expire, and the account's benefits return to the free tier. Fees already paid for the current period are not refunded pro rata because of the cancellation.

2.3 This Article does not affect the automatic return of credits for failed jobs provided for in Article 3 — the two are different in nature: this Article concerns subscription fees already paid, while Article 3 concerns an individual generation job that was not successfully delivered.

3. Automatic Return of credits for Failed Jobs

3.1 If a generation job fails, times out or loses its output for reasons attributable to the Platform or to an upstream provider, the credits held for that job are automatically returned to your account in full — you pay only for outputs that are successfully delivered.

3.2 That return is executed automatically by the accounting system and requires no application from you, nor any human review. Once the return is complete, the change in your credits balance can be seen on the usage page.

3.3 This provision differs from general industry practice: most per-job generation platforms charge for a job once it has been submitted, whether it succeeds or fails; the Platform does not.

3.4 The return of credits is handled by original batch: returned credits go back to the grant batch they originally belonged to and keep that batch's original expiry time; the validity period is not extended because of the return.

3.5 What this Article returns is credits, not money. It does not constitute a partial refund of a subscription fee already paid, and it creates no entitlement that can be withdrawn or exchanged.

3.6 If you are dissatisfied with the generated result after the output has been successfully delivered, that does not constitute a failure within the meaning of this Article; the credits for that job are settled normally under Article 4 of the Terms of Service.

4. Nature and Expiry of credits

4.1 credits are the unit of account used to consume the Platform's generation services, and are not currency, tokens, vouchers or prepaid instruments; they carry no monetary value and no prepaid value. They cannot be withdrawn or exchanged for any currency, and cannot be transferred or gifted between different users or between different accounts of the same user.

4.2 credits from different sources have different validity periods, and where several batches coexist, deduction follows the order of expiry (earliest expiry used first). credits are automatically void once expired, are not compensated, and are not converted into a refund of any kind.

4.3 The specific validity rules for each batch are set out in Article 4 of the Terms of Service and are not repeated in this Policy; the expiry time of each of your batches is as actually displayed on the Platform.

4.4 Unused credits lapse when an account is deleted and are not refunded or converted (for the full consequences of deletion, see Article 6 of the Privacy Policy).

5. Abnormal Orders

5.1 If any of the following suspected anomalies occurs, please contact us by email at support@yaspost.com:

  • the same tier was paid for more than once, or the same invoice was paid several times;
  • the payment channel has taken the funds and shows the payment as successful, but the subscription is still not activated, or the credits have still not arrived, after a reasonable time;
  • the invoice amount, currency or tier does not match the published information you saw on the pricing page;
  • you believe an unauthorized payment has occurred.

5.2 Please include information in your message that makes verification easier: the email address of your account, the order number or invoice identifier, the payment time, the payment amount and currency, and a screenshot of the transaction record on the payment channel's side.

5.3 We will verify the matter against the payment channel's transaction records and the Platform's accounting records, and will then handle it according to the actual circumstances once verified. The time required depends on how complex the verification is and on the payment channel's cooperation.

5.4 Please note: what this Article provides for is a verification and handling process, and it does not constitute a commitment to any particular outcome (including a refund). How a matter is actually handled depends on the conclusion of the verification and on applicable law.

5.5 You are responsible for the truthfulness of the information and materials you provide during the verification of an abnormal order.

6. Contact
